Working from her studio located just down the street from the Picasso Museum in Barcelona, Goretti has created a delightful character called “Las Manolas” which depicts the modern day woman carrying out the multiple roles required of them in their daily life and doing so with grace and humor. Goretti´s character has an easily recognizable futuristic style which reaches women on both a familiar and a universal level. A phrase which exemplifies the philosophy of “Las Manolas”  accompanies each image and situation.

“ I think what I do is actually live on the canvas. I paint, write, eat and walk on it. I, spill water, mix colors, trip over the pigments which suddenly rise like a little cloud (yellow, red) around my feet, they end up falling into the least likely places. Between us, it is a fantastic moment.”

Conxita takes the world of food and recipes, places it in a mixing bowl filled with color and imagination and presents it to us in delightful paintings which are at the same time  both naïf and sophisticated.  Her unique compositions of ordinary cooking utensils and ingredients laced with texts from multilingual cookbooks are whimsical and inviting.

Born in León , Aurelio Cachafeiro flees from specific classifications of his work. He pursues the fusion of everything he is interested in, in terms of styles or techniques, availing himself of his professional experiences and the most recent technologies. He sees the question in itself as an objective of the work, dispensing with the answers.

Elena Catalan is many artists rolled into one. The variety of her styles and themes and her mastering of different art media belie her young age.

Elena channels her seemingly boundless energy into the creation of characters which range from the comics Boca de Trapo and a new collection of Fairies in My Soup to sophisticated fashion figures and creatures of the fantasy world of mythology and fairies.

The New York born photographer, Michele Curel set up her studio in Barcelona in 1991.  Michele travels around the world with her old Hasselblad camera, her principal ally and work tool. Her main theme interests include portraits, publicity, architecture and interior design.  There is an acute sharpness and freshness to her work, whether it be depicting a series of neon signs of diners spread around the U.S. or nomadic tribal members from the Subsahara.

Michele´s work has been featured in high end publications such as the New York Times, National Geographic, Newsweek, Vanity Fair, Food & Wine, Town & Country.

Born in Faido,Switzerland, Gabriele uses energetic brushwork and a freedom within abstraction to create a powerful visual language through his painting. His work combines a deeper palette and a texturing offset by areas of quiet space, creating a sense of balance.

Considered one of Spain´s promising young artists,  Natalia is constantly exploring within her own style for greater depths and meaning to her work. Examples of this search are her mixed media paintings containing photographs of old windows and doors of Barcelona´s  Raval multi ethnic neighborhood and the abstract expressionism style we see in her more geometric paintings.

Carme Miquel creates elegant, sensuous paintings in which the color and shapes melt into the spaces created by the artist which run beyond the confines of the canvas. Her themes usually revolve around landscapes, still life paintings of fruits and flowers. She depicts the beauty and the harmony found in nature in her own style.

Born in Olesa de Montserrat near Barcelona, Pep is a Professor of Art at the University of Barcelona. His work portrays a study of geometric shapes and an interaction of colors which reminds us of Pop Art but with a modern day twist.

Pep has had his work exhibited in various cities of Europe.

Born in Norway, Cathrine Muryn lives and works between Barcelona and Oslo.
Her paintings carry light and intensity which come from a certain restraint as well as a strong expressivity. Hesitation combined with freedom and craft, which disappears once it reaches the edge of the canvas.

Born in Barcelona, Toni’s paintings are a constant search for the synthesis of color and form. He transforms a single flower bloom into a moment of permanent beauty, which transmits a feeling of silence and peacefulness to the spectator.

Lisette has dedicated more than thirty years to various areas of photography including portrait, editorial and publicity. She has now turned from commercial photography to a more personal style. Presently she is working on the creation and development of images for the more intimate communication of an idea, an emotion, a concept.

Victor Ramirez, a Chilean refugee at 25, is a versatile artists who expresses his South American sensuality through writing and painting. Victor gets his inspiration from literature, he wants to paint words: the intense colours he uses transport you to an observation of space in a poetic manner.

Born in Santa Fé de Bogotá, Colombia.

Danilo paints in a highly fluid and abstract style.  His art is based on his in-depth study of Chinese calligraphy and meditation and his constant search for beauty in life.  This zen spirituality can be seen in the titles he uses such as Harmony, Silence and Light.
Having trained as an architect in Colombia, Danilo did his graduate studies in Pratt Institute in New York and at the UP University in Barcelona.

Sabala depicts women of 50+ in delightful situations with humor and irony, but also with much tenderness.  She portrays them through her own mischievous vision in coquettish and flirtatious poses as well as in the rituals of seduction of their partners.  Sabala delights in surprising and provoking the viewer at the same time she makes them.  Sabala is creating quite a following of fans throughout Europe, the United States and Latin America where her sharp wit is enjoyed and admired by many.

With bold brushstrokes,  Ton weaves images which evoke imaginary far away places. Her rich combinations of hues and architectural elements create a mysterious sense of calm.

Ton Sant´s work is found in many private collections around the world and in hotels in Spain and Hong Kong.

Born in Nagoya, Japan, Koichi has been living in Barcelona for almost two decades. He defines his style as concrete figurative, often combining photographs in his pictures and then painting over and around the photo making it difficult to see where it begins and ends. His pictures are an explosion of colors and forms and display a whimsical sense of humor.

Koichi has exhibited in many European countries and in the USA besides his native Japan.
